4 Ways To Reduce The Bad Appearance of Greasy Hair

Phew..... that's a long title.

It's almost a second day thing for most of us. Or sometimes you just prefer to keep your hair greasy when we're not expecting of going among other people and then unexpectedly something comes up and you're head looks as if washed with melted fat- yeah, I hate these days too.

My, let's say, very ''high experience'', had gave me enough reasons to find a way in which I can immediately reduce the appearance of greasy hair, and here are the four ways I usually use (:

1. Dry Shampoo.
First and most obvious, is the dry shampoo. I think these are the most handiest things ever. You spray it into the roots, massage in and voila. You're hair look a thousand times better and fresh.

2. Teasing Hair

This is something I love doing no matter if my hair are one day long, or four day long. Teasing the crown of the head just at the roots creates the look of ''dried hair'' and eliminates the appearance of wet , drooping strands.

3. High Hairdo

Giving the top a of the head a big volume, brushing the hair back and pulling up into buns, pony tails and plats, highly reduces the appearance of greasy hair.
My favourites in this case are, messy buns, french plats, high-teased pony tail and the half-up half-down pony tail (Ariana Grande style).

4. Hats and Hairbands

Simply covering up with various hair accessorise is the absolute easiest thing to go for. No matter if it's a beanie, snap back, hairband, bandanna or a pretty clip, it's always going to look cute and fashionable.

I know it's only a quick, short post but that's just in the awaiting for the next one :D

Monthly Favourites

Hey everyone!

So here I have the, a bit delayed, monthly favourites post for the month of July. I'm so glad I can finally do this. Ever since I started becoming obsessed with various beauty bloggers and youtubers, there was nothing that I wanted to do more then the monthly favourites list!

To those of you who yet not know what it is, it's a list of products/objects/ places or basically anything I had been loving this month and that I would highly recommend to others.

Okay, so without the further blabbing I'm bombarding you with in the very beginning- let's get down to business....

1. Okay, so first we have the AA Age Technology Moisturising BB Cream 9-in-1. This I was recommended by a lady working at the drugstore where I purchased it. I asked her for a BB cream that would be ideal for my dry, sensitive and young skin.
The reason why I go for the BB cream is because I do not use foundation. Honestly, I think I don't require wearing it yet and also I do not want to start using it too early as it simply might be too heavy and just make my skin appear even worse.
Of course, from time to time I have these terrible breakouts or discolouring when I wish I could just hide my face from the rest of the world, and that's where the BB cream comes in!
Its consistency is as of a normal cream and it looks a bit like foundation as it is in skin tone. There are three shades I think; light, medium and dark and they basically adjusts to your skin tone (which is amazing because you don't have to stand there for hours testing which colour will match your skin.)
It's easy to apply, it takes just seconds to make my face look more awake and perfected and most importantly- it does not dry me out!
I really enjoy using it and my skin is looking a lot better after applying it so for those of you with sensitive skin I recommend checking that out.
Oh and I just want to mention that the AA Cosmetics are said to be ideal for skins prone to allergies, so no worrier under that aspect.

It isn't something new, to be honest it has been out there for quite a good while, but I really like it and it's actually really cheap. I'll leave a link below to the website with the description of all the 9 properties of the cream for those of you interested...

2.So next we have the Loverdose Perfume by Diesel.

This, I have been obsessed with! The scent is just addicting I have to say and I love, love, love it! It's very sweet in smell (the kind I love the most) and reminds me of liquorice (which normally I hate so it was very surprising to me that I liked this one).

Now, there are three different colours of this perfume- black, pink and baby pink. I have tested both of the pink once recently just out of curiosity and I was shocked! They are nothing like the black one and to be truthful- they are horrible! Maybe they just smell bad on my skin but they definitely are not my favourites. Unlike the black one of course.

The perfume, I think, has been released couple of months ago and at that time it was a bit costly, but by now if look in the right places you might even find it at 30 euro only! I know the last time I went to Boots, this was the price it carried, but again it varies from store to store. When I checked at an airport perfumery it was around 80-90 euro, so I guess this does let you know there are some places where you can overspend.

Lastly I just want to point out that I am not a huge fan of  perfumes. They are the kind of products  that are surly never on the top of my shopping list. I can never find the right fragrance for myself and other perfumes always seem not to be worthy their cost. And then one day this fragrance stands on a shelf separating me and my shopping basket from the till so I think, ''why not try it out''. And here we go, I fall madly in love with a perfume for the first time in forever. THAT must show something.

3. Number three in my favourites is taken by the L'Oreal Paris skin perfection soothing gel-cream wash.

This qualifies to one of my best facial washes I ever purchased- and believe me, not much of those make it so high. Facial washes are the cosmetics I love experimenting with. I try to purchase a different one every time, just because I always keep looking for one that's going to satisfy all my expectations. And this one has done a pretty good job.

These are few of its advantages:
-It's foamy and creamy in texture.
-It moisturises and does not irritate my sensitive skin.
-It does not contain soap.
-It's cheap and efficient.

The only bad thing I have to say about this is that it doesn't smell. Some people may take this as an advantage as this shows it doesn't contain any unnecessary perfumes and chemicals, however I do like when my cosmetics have specific scents :)

4. While we are at facial washes, here's another one I've been loving and it's the Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean 3-in-1 Wash-off deep purifying cleanser.

Before I say anything else, yes, I do have to admit that if I was to choose a cleanser for myself, this probably wouldn't be the one I would pick up from the shelf - back then.

Because I was desperate of a facial wash and my mom was heading to town, I asked her to buy me one. Specifically I remarked- for dry and sensitive skin!!! And what did she do? She came back with this wash I never used before and one that does not contain the words ''For dry and sensitive skin''. Did I get mad? Of course I did because that's just me.... but then I smelled it.

It was absolutely the most wonderfull scent I ever felt! Peaches!!! It was simply the smell of peach. Nothing else. It was so lovely and sweet and fresh and I just loved it.

After that I decided I'll give it a chance and I was not disappointed. The product was refreshing, removed-makeup and even gentle to my skin!!! Love, love, love it!

5. Next on the list is the Garnier Ultimate Blends ''the silky smoother'' shampoo and conditioner.

This is a-maz-ing!!!! It works exactly as described. My hair (including the dry split ends) are as soft as a fluff. They are silky, fresh and nourished, exactly the thing I look for after washing my hair.

Now, there is a catch- for those of you who think that this will magically merge your split ends.... this does not work like that. This product makes your ends ''feel'' and ''apear'' soft and smooth but does not actually fix them. Your ends are of a better quality for day or two but not for the entire time. Despite this fact, I still do love it and enjoy using it :) And it smell gorgeous (/^▽^)/

6. Number six is slightly different from the rest. Namely it is a book called ''We, Children from Bahnhof Zoo'' by Christine F.

I've been trying to read this for way too long now (it stood almost 4 years on my book shelf untouched) and finally decided it was the time I take up the read. I carried the book with me on my holiday and read it in any free time I got. I have to say, despite the fact this is a non-fiction AND a biography (which are totally not my kind of genre) I have been loving this lecture.

It is a true story of a teenage girl (Christine F.), living in Germany and her drug addiction problem. She's telling her story of how she started smoking hashish at the age of 12 and ends  up trying heroine at the age of 13.

This kind of plot is serious and you wouldn't exactly take it up as a ''light-read'', but I have really enjoyed it,  I do indeed recommend this.

Last but not least, is a actually a website (link above). Since I am new to this amazing world of blogging, I have obviously spend a lot of time thinking about the layout of my blog. And I happened to stumble across this site....

It has everything needed to customize your personal blog, from backgrounds to post dividers. It is extremely helpful to all beginners (including myself :P) and in addition everything there is so, so, so cute ^-^

Hope you have enjoyed this post :) I actually wanted to add more objects to my favourites but I thought I'm going to separate this into parts- including my top nail polishes, books, movies etc. All of this will be coming very soon so keep an eye out :)

5 Big Make-up Mistakes

Hey everyone!
So here I have a new post for you, with the list of 5 major make-up mistakes, frequently made by young girls and some tips on how to avoid this often ''clown-look'' which sometimes you might not even realize you're wearing.

Hope you enjoy my post and make sure to keep an eye out on further updates :D

1. Strongly emphasizing both eyes and lips in one make-up.
Yes, we all have to agree that the model in the picture does not by any means look disturbingly ugly or anything like that, but this is because her make-up was obviously done by professionals and is worn for some specific purpose.
However, when girls decide to put on dark or intense eye shadows on their eyes along with a strong lipstick, I'm not going to hide, in most cases it  looks as if they have just left Cirque du Soleil where they worked as full-time clowns for way too long....
They look fake and simply, weird. This kind of look is perfectly suitable for events like, themed parties or special evening outgoings, but as of everyday make-up it is way too unnatural and way over the top!

Tips:  If you decide to wear an intense or vivid coloured lipstick, i.e red, cherry, dark pink etc. make sure that you go as simple on the eyes as possible. Try to restrict yourself to only an eyeliner and mascara, optionally a natural shade of eyeshadow.

  •  If it's the case you would rather like to wear strong eye make-up, like black smoky eyes, it will look much prettier and natural if your lipstick is in nude or light pink shade. This way you will avoid the ''clown-look'' and create an effect of a neat and tidy pretty girl :)

2. Wrongly matched foundation.
This is one of the most common made mistakes by women using foundation. No matter what age they are, I have seen that lots of ladies struggle with choosing the right colour of foundation. Usually it turns out to be a shade or two darker than their natural skin tone (really often because of the tan the face used to have), stretched down to the neck line to make the impression it suits. However you can't hide it always and sooner or later someone will notice the visible colour-difference on your skin, either by the bad finish at the back of the neck, or the skin-coloured stains on your clothes.
Girls, foundation is not there to make you look tan! Ladies, wrong shade of foundation will not make you're skin appear in better condition- it does the opposite!
One of my school teachers, always seems to have this problem. Sometimes I just really can't stand when she walks into the classroom with a light orange colour on her face, and a pale, white skin on her neck. It looks both ridiculous and sloppy. I keep on asking myself, she's a grown up adult, how come doesn't she know it's something that is very noticeable? Can she not see it or is she using up the foundation she got while still having a tan. Maybe she wants to save up or something but then on the other hand, most of the teachers drive a 2014 BMW and fly to warm countries practically every year but never mind....
My point here is, if you're foundation is not matching you're natural skin tone, it really does look untidy and unpleasant to look at.

Tips: Always try out foundation on your skin before you buy it. This is the kind of product you do not carry out from the drug store before you are 100% certain it's ideal for you. Also make sure that you don't test it on your hand, but directly on your face. The skin tone on your hand may, and very often is, different from the one on your face. The best spot to test out for foundation is on the side of your nose as this is the place where it usually stands out the most.

  •  If you tried a foundation but you're not too sure if it's the right one, take up a shade darker or lighter and see if any of them looks better than the first one you put on.
  •  If non of the foundations matches your skin perfectly, try mixing two and see how this comes out.

  • This last point is basically my own personal opinion. Girls, if you are not in the need of using foundation, please don't. It does nothing good for your skin and may cause it to age up more quickly than normally. If you are desperate of using a base on your face, try out BB creams and concealers and please, please, please forget about all those ideas like ''my friends all wear foundation, I don't want to be worse'', or ''in order to get a boyfriend my skin has to be flawless''- this is all bullsh*t! You are perfect the way you are and don't try to change yourself and hide behind a fake mask. If I can live without using foundation, you can too :)

3. Drawing on eyebrows.
Some people do get very irritated when they see a girl walking down the street with a marker line across her forehead, but for me this is nothing but a good laugh :D
Even though I'm a girl, I cannot get why women do that! Shave off eyebrows and draw them back on.... I mean this is insane! Not only it looks fake but also it's one big thing of crap!

Young girls decide to tweeze off their brows way too much and the truth is, most of them are going to regret this in the future. To everyone out there reading this right now- if you know someone or if you yourself are one of those who like to go the ''fake'' way- believe me, this looks horrendous!! I do indeed have my own opinion about all those ladies with unreal eyebrows but I think I'm going to keep these thoughts for myself.
In the meantime....

Tips: If you have light eyebrows and would like to make them more visible, go for brow pencils and stick with outlining your brows the way they actually arrange themselves, not giving them some unnatural, weird shapes.

  •  If your eyebrows are dark but are not too thick and you don't really like that they just ''are'', also go for brow pencils but in the colour of your actual brows and make sure not to apply too much, otherwise they might stand out badly.
  •   If, on the other hand, your brows are dark, thick and everybody always compliments on how beautiful they are, do NOT destroy this look by shaving or drawing! Be proud of them!

  •  Eyebrows obviously have to be tweezed once in a while, just so they look neat, organized and not too hairy, however make sure to never go too far in this process. Tweeze only the inside of the eyebrow, never outside, and always stick to their natural shape :)

4.Faded lipstick and crayon outline.
This is mainly targeted to all lipstick lovers (yup, that's definitely not me).
It's not seen as often but I have noticed some cases in which women were going around with a red outline of their lips and nothing else. Imagine how that looked.
This happens basically because when girls decide to use lipstick, they also tend to outline their lips with the same coloured crayon. Now, if the crayon is of a better quality than the lipstick, which will probably going to fade away quicker, they are left with this odd lining on their mouth. They do not even realize when this happens and let's be honest, it does look unprofessional and oddly.

Tips: Try to pick out lipsticks and crayons of the same quality. This way you won't have to worry about fading lipstick.

  • Remember to always carry the lipstick you're currently wearing in your purse or handbag in order to be able of applying it on again once it goes off. A little mirror would be ideal as well.

5. Unremoved make-up.
Even though Emma still looks gorgeous in smudged make-up, be aware, this is not how you're going to look like if you leave your make-up on for the night!
Believe me, I have been through this a thousand of times. It was always either too late to bother or too little to care.
I always told myself, ''it's only a mascara, you can wipe it off in the morning.'' And so I did... for way too long....
I started noticing that way too often I woke up with these awful black bags underneath my eyes. It kept me wondering as I could be sure I hadn't stayed up that long to look so disgraceful. And then my mom stated that it was all because of my inaccurate removal of make-up. It was impossible to wipe it off, and extremely hard to cover up with concealer. I felt as if I would never get rid of it and be left with sleepy black eyes for the rest of my life. But what was enough was enough and I decided to take mom's notice under consideration. Each and every single night I removed my make-up as accurately as possible and always made sure there was nothing left on my eyes. Of course it did take some time for my black stains to be completely eliminated but since then , I have not seen any of these marks underneath my eyes. So if you don't want to end up as the ''sleepy queen'', you better make sure your make-up is all nicely removed for the night. And if you think this is still not very convincing, try thinking of all the harm your doing  to your skin....

Tips: If you know you're the kind of person that has problems with removing make-up in the evening, don't wear it! I don't mean if you're going somewhere, but if you're staying at home, certain you won't need any covering for the day, leave your face alone. Let it breath for this one day. This way you will both, care for your skin and save up time in the evenings.

  •  If you feel like there's no need in wearing much make-up, then don't! Stick to the basics to make it simple.
  • To make it easier for yourself, try picking up good quality make-up removals. They will remove make-up quicker and also be better for your skin than facial wipes. (The one I would recommend the most is Micellar cleansing water. This is perfect for all skin types and delicate for eyes and other sensitive areas of the face.)

So here it is all. But just to let you know, I am not by any means a beauty expert. Anything said here is totally  based on my own experience and if you do not agree with some of these words, that is fine. Everybody has their own opinion and maybe you are more educated in this topic than me and that's cool :)

Please let me know in the comments if there are other make-up mistakes you can think of :)

I will try my best to post every week from now on, so keep an eye out.

Cyprus Vacation

So I just wanted to say huge thanks to my dad and his wife for this amazing Cyprus holiday J

I still think they were overdramatic with my luggage- 16kg bag with 5 pairs of shoes for a 7 days vacation  isn’t that bad! But the time was awesome and memories are wondrful :D

Check out the pictures below…

Palm alley to the beach :)

How I see most of the world.... <3

Highway to hell :P

You can't see it here, but when we were landing in Pafos, every house in an estate had a private pool in the back garden- how awesome is that? :D

The highest point on Cyprus. This blue area in the back- yeah that's the sea :D The mountains actually have snow during winter and lots of people ski there... imagine how fascinating it must be riding down a mountain and staring at the people on the beaches sunbathing :D

Just a pic of my shadow in the sunset :)

The Aphrodite's rock. It's said that if you find a heart-shaped rock on that beach you will have a luck in love life....

...and here is were you look ;)

That was fun :')

Did you guys go anywhere special for your vacation? Or did you just stay at home and relaxed that whole year of school?
Let me know in the comments below what you did or maybe some places you would love to visit (I know I have a whole list of these :)

My Independent Journeys

Bye, bye Ireland :) (Finally!) The views were amazing and surprisingly the weather was gorgeous! Here's the best photo I could take :)

So hey everyone!!! I’m so excited for this post because could there be anything better than sitting in McDonalds at the Dublin Airport and writing down how truthfully I love this place ^_^

It might seem a bit weird but I treat airports like my second homes. Even though I’m not like some people who have to fly practically every day, I still think I spend so much of my life here and I already know it so well that I can call it my sacred place.

And there comes one of the funny stories from my school life- recently in my religion class we were studying scared and holy places. The teacher asked us to write down a place that was important to us and in which we felt happy ect… So my creative classmates all went with the same: my bedroom or the beach (which were actually two examples the teacher suggested herself, how original), and we were supposed to explain why they were important to us.

So without giving it much thought, I wrote Dublin Airport because I spend a lot of my time there and it feels like my second home- honestly I wrote it so my friend and I could have a laugh because if not our inside jokes we wouldn’t be able to survive the 40 minute religion class. You can accuse me of anything but before you do I have to tell you that my friend was even more disrespectful to the topic than I was! She decided that writing down the name of a Polish supermarket (Biedronka- translated as ‘’Ladybird’’) in which her mother worked when she was a child would be hilarious! And to be honest it was, I was crying when I read her copy xD. So there we were, sitting in front of the class preventing ourselves from bursting out with laughter. But of course, the teacher noticed and before I could even think about it she asked me to read out what I have wrote. That moment, my heart stopped. My friend was still on the verge of laughing out loud and her red face and wide grin made me even more nervous and I just couldn’t hold back my laugh anymore. I cracked and with it came the tears and I obviously couldn’t catch my breath. Then the whole class started laughing and the teacher was just getting more and more frustrated. But there was still the question to answer and my dilemma; should I answer honestly or make something up? I knew that if I’m going to read out my proper answer and make even more people laugh she would probably kill me so I just went with the same story as everybody else: My Bedroom :D After these words my friend laughed even louder and me along with her causing a huge confusion to take over the room. It doesn’t sound as funny when you read it as it actually was but up to this day we still laugh about it so I thought I should just put it in somewhere in this post.

But anyways back to the topic (by now I’m already in the plane). Since I passed the age of 12, I honestly cannot think of much situations where I wasn’t flying on my own. Because my family doesn’t often visit Poland and I’m practically the only one who wants to go there for holidays, it leaves me as an independent traveler. From the 4 hour journey by bus to the airport, through all the procedures to follow on the airport, to finally sit and fly on the plane to my destination, I’m all by myself.

Do I mind it? I thought I did. I hated that I had no one to talk to and the fact that I was the only teenager under 16 to travel on her own, until it came to a situation that I had to fly with my mom and two of my siblings. THAT was a nightmare. My baby sister unable to sit calmly for five minutes (during a 2 and a half hr flight!) my younger brother doing nothing but standing  like he didn’t know what was happening around him and not listening to me when I told him to help out and my mom, freaking out about absolutely everything! Since that time I said Thank You Very Much! I much rather  travel completely on my own and be able to spend the massive amount of free time I have to write or read and peacefully listen to music during the flight.
Sometimes I wonder why is it that both my parents trust me so much they allow me to travel the whole day with no guardian, but I never question it. I feel lucky because of this. None of my friends had ever said that they are going to be flying on their own and not even that they’re going to go on the bus by themselves! I guess this is something I can brag about and I feel that this is building up my confidence and independence.
Do the journeys scare me? Not as much as they used to. The first time my dad announced I’m going to fly on my own I was like; ‘’WHAT??? But I’m only twelve! I’m not going to manage!’’ Of course it wasn’t as bad as I have suspected. And by now I’m so used to it that it’s no big deal. Yes, I do get a bit nervous a few days before the flight and all that pops into my mind when I’m already laying in bed are those annoying questions; will they question my age? Will my flight not be cancelled? Will I manage with my 15kg baggage? I know I shouldn’t be worrying about any of this because by now already know the answers to them and going insane because of the curiosity won’t help. Sure it won’t change anything so why should I worry about it? I try my best not to but sometimes it’s just stronger than me :D

Being a person that has to have everything organised (some say I’m a perfectionist but definitely not when it comes to cleaning my bedroom) is a huge advantage. Basically before doing anything, and I do mean anything at all, I have to plan my steps of actions few days before in my head. E.g : what time am I going to wake up at, where am I going to go once I’m on the airport and how long can I spend sitting down in a cafĂ© with my laptop ect. Without these skills I think I would just get lost in the world. So if you have problems with getting organised I advise that at some point during the day you sit down and plan everything out in your head, or to even make it easier write it down on piece of paper or in your phone just to get used to your plan of action in your head.

I usually fly 2-6 times during the year. My first flight was when I was 7 years old, and so I think I’m allowed to say I have experienced most of what can be experienced. Late or cancelled flights (one time my flight was cancelled the day before my birthday, the plane got hit by a lightning, and I had to go the next day  which was my birthday so yay it was an awesome party :P ), rushing to the plane on the last moment, spending night on the airport, sitting endless hours in MacDonald’s (I know I'm getting overly excited about this place, just like a child, but I fell in love with their coffee and unfortunately in my desolated society, people have not yet developed a modern thinking and couldn't bother to open one up -_- ), the plane literally falling downwards for a split of second (I’m serious. The plane suddenly dropped down like on a vertical roller-coaster, fortunately the pilot managed to get it back under control), flying on planes that are so small I actually wanted to refuse to get on, not being given the permission for landing which left us circulating around the airport for another 10 minutes and right now I’m experiencing my first ever change. I’m going to have 50 minutes in Munich to get from one plane to another so that’s exciting.

It’s my personal record I think: three countries in 14 hrs. Fascinating isn’t it? xD We always laugh about how my unpredictable, a half-year-older cousin is not capable of getting on a train or a bus and drive directly from one station to the other compared me who basically travels the Europe on her own!
Okay so I went extreme on the length of this article (again) and personally I hate when they are so long but can’t really write shorter.

Alright, so just to explain what the main point of this article was about- I’m looking for teenagers out there who also fly on their own from one country to another because I feel so lonely in this situation. Not once have I met anybody so young travelling on their own and I would just like to reach out to you guys J Also if you happened to be taking an independent journey for the first time and maybe you’re a bit worried or stressed out, you can ask for any advise in the comments below and I’m so happy to help and of course have a discussion or something :D

Thank you for any support and make sure to keep an eye out for further updates :)

Love Loads,
